A writer since third grade, I've had the time to learn about words:

  • a Journalism B.A.,

  • non-fiction and stage/screenwriting during my MFA career,

  • corporate-realm communication during three years as Head Honcho of Motormouth Marketing (plus a decade in the marcom trenches),

  • sketch comedy in-between it all,

  • plus 12 years of blogging.

A founding member of the Northampton Playwrights' Lab, I'm currently writing a series of plays that illumine the line between real and celebrity. One, Lindsay Lohan's Birkin, was selected to kick off the Northampton Playwrights' Lab first public reading.

Two of my plays have been produced -- in CA and MA -- and many more are available for production.

My first-ever fiction piece, Eight Fifty Six, was published in the July 2007 issue of why vandalism?.

An early draft of what is now The Wash-N-Dry Laundromat and Uncensored Internet Café of Salt Lake City, Utah was scheduled for production at a NorCal high school, but ultimately denied by the Superintendent, who considered it too "sensitive and controversial." I'm thinking of turning it into a six-episode project for HBO or FX.

I'd also like a grant to hire David Cutler to write the music for our sure-to-be Broadway smash hit, Liz!
