A lesson in responsibility
Sometimes, my two month old son yells at my as if I were the one who peed in his diaper. That's unfair. I only did it that one time; why can't he let it go? I mean he laughed as much as I did at his mother's reaction.
In other news, Prince Harry may be going to Iraq. Will he see combat? Will he see bloodshed? Will his double see combat? Will they even attempt to make a show of this? Well, before anyone starts singing "Fortunate Son" (and not the edited for Target version) remember, the news is that Prince Harry MAY go to Iraq, but still that's something isn't it. I haven't heard of a single politician sending their kid over there, have you? And don't think they're keeping it on the hush. If they had a kid going over to Iraq it would make national news, and you know that as well as I do.
I was reminded of Prince Harry because I'm reading a book on the Rough Riders, and it would seem that at the age of twenty, young Winston Churchill went to Cuba in order to get combat experience. Let me try that again, he went to war, on his vacation, in order to learn what war was all about so that he might one day be an effective military leader. One can't help but see the parallels between Churchill and Bush Jr., who also joined the military (sort of), and though Churchill wasn't all coked up at the time of the whole Cuba thing, I don't think that we should let that disparage the connection.
