"Behind the intials was a metaphor, a delirium tremens, a trembling unfurrowing of the mind's plowshare. The saint whose water can light lamps, the clairovoyant whose lapse in recall is the breath of God, the true paranoid for whom all is organized in spheres joyful or threatening about the central pulse of himself, the dreamer whose puns probe ancient fetid shafts and tunnels of truth all act in the same special relevance to the word, or whatever it is the word is there, buffering, to protect us from." Not, exactly, getting the message

According to the USA Today:

French Foreign Minister Michel Barnier used a news conference with Rice Tuesday night in Paris to repeat that France and the other European participants are committed to letting the diplomacy run its course [in Iran].

He said he had asked Rice for American "support and confidence."

Ummm....rrrr.....hmmmm......

So France is telling Rice that they are in diplomatic talks (talks which the U.S. did not join), and that we probably shouldn't bomb Iran.

Why do these people think that Rice is touring Europe anyway--a good will mission? She's just letting you know that the shit is going down. Europe, get your "diplomats" out of Iran or else you'll be getting video sent home of their heads being chopped off.

So sayeth the Rice.
