Reading backwards

My mother used to joke that whenever I'd pick up a non-fiction book, I'd open it from the back and start reading it from that direction forward.

Now that I'm editing my dissertation, I realize I write the same way. Huge chunky paragraphs followed by a synopsis, followed by huge seemingly unrelated paragraphs, followed by a synopsis with a tie together. I should just print the thing backwards.

For those who were wondering. Jorge Louis Borges, mixed with Aldus Huxley and George Orwell. That's right now, anyway, I'm dealing with "Tlon, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius" and the birth of postmodernism.

Also, I'm bring home my new son and his mother from the hospital today. Yeah!!!
