"Behind the intials was a metaphor, a delirium tremens, a trembling unfurrowing of the mind's plowshare. The saint whose water can light lamps, the clairovoyant whose lapse in recall is the breath of God, the true paranoid for whom all is organized in spheres joyful or threatening about the central pulse of himself, the dreamer whose puns probe ancient fetid shafts and tunnels of truth all act in the same special relevance to the word, or whatever it is the word is there, buffering, to protect us from." Gonzales...because Bush needs a hobby

I think we should convict the Attorny General of perjury and here's why:

1.) Because he's guilty. I think, for this reason, the punishment should be for him to spend the rest of his life in a glass bubble in the middle of times square so that he never again has a moment of privacy. That seems fair. Note my last blog entry--we can get every American's emails but we can't catch any identity thieves. Hmmm....what are these people doing?

2.) Mostly though, I think we should convict Gonzales because the president hasn't done anything incredibly underhanded and un-American in a week or so, and by convicting Gonzales, we give Bush an opportunity to offer another criminal a full presidential pardon. I don't know about the rest of you, but I like the idea of a president with a zero approval rating who still won't get impeached.
