Spin Bloggers

I've come to a conclusion. I have perhaps said it before so bear with me. It seems to me that there are an inordinate ammount of comments made to blog if I mention the hipocrisy of most Christians and/or that Republicans protect their friends when they solicit sex from minors. Nobody comments on my feelings about the American Education system or whether or not I liked Juneteenth (I did by the way), but if I say that most Christians are unwittingly serving the devil, and BOOM: comment. Am I being paranoid? Are there people out there who are searching the five hundredth page of google so as to find and denegrate my opinion?

My theory is this: yes, there are. There are people out there whose job it is to go through the various anti-republican Christian right blogs and make nasty comments. Psychological warfare. I mean, why not. Our phones are being tapped--they're supposed to be private. Why should I think that something as public as this isn't being searched through and filed away.

My only consolation in my paranoia is that when I imagine the "file" they've got on me somewhere, I know that the file they've got on Blowing Shit Up With Gas has got to be the size of a filing cabinet.

Okay, I took a long walk and cooled down... After proessing your Sculpey vitriol, I realize that you'd probably just lost your mind temporarily, and you don't really hate the King of all clamation polymers. I'll get over it...

(Kidding, of course... I used to have a shitload of that stuff, btw. It went on sale for like a dime a brick once at a close-out place here, and I bought a ton of it for $5.)

I've always figured there was a "file" on me somewhere. My wife's a vegan and we're card carrying members of an organic food co-op. If that doesn't make us downright subversive, I don't know what does.

Still, you're a college teacher -- in the humanities, no less. And your wife, if I recall, is an MFA. That's got to put you guys in someone's priority box.
