Cheery! Just a few moments ago, I was sitting on my patio in my shorts, groaning as my father told me that the temperature out Northern California way has soared into the eighties.
I'm off to play tennis now, but I wish you well in your winter wonderland.
Ha, Ha. It is in the 80's here in NorCal but that just means it is a beautiful sunny day out there with just the slightest cool breeze. The majority of students have left town for Spring Break, which means only the hottest of scantily clad young females are parading the streets wearing as little next to nothing as possible. Just the day to go out and enjoy some Sushi.
"Behind the intials was a metaphor, a delirium tremens, a trembling unfurrowing of the mind's plowshare. The saint whose water can light lamps, the clairovoyant whose lapse in recall is the breath of God, the true paranoid for whom all is organized in spheres joyful or threatening about the central pulse of himself, the dreamer whose puns probe ancient fetid shafts and tunnels of truth all act in the same special relevance to the word, or whatever it is the word is there, buffering, to protect us from."
Pynchon, The Crying of Lot 49
